bruce davenport

Bruce grew up in New Ellenton which is located in Aiken Country, S.C. He attended Aiken High School where he was active in marching band and young life. He was very active in his home church, Foreman Memorial Baptist Church (youth group, Sunday school, choir). Bruce furthered his education at Charleston Southern University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also served as a U.S. 2 missionary in Los Angeles California.

Bruce came on board with Langston staff as minister of outreach and fellowship on June 1, 1999. After many years, he still loves seeing people come to the Lord and growing in their faith.

Now Bruce is Pastor of Senior Adults (60+). He leads the Wednesday Community Bible Study held weekly (10:30) as well as planning fellowships and outings.

His life verse is, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
